Common questions
Can I buy a car battery using only the group size?
No. Group size narrows the physical fit, but you must also confirm terminal orientation, battery technology, minimum CCA, hold-down style and any vehicle-specific replacement procedure.
Is more CCA always better?
Not by itself. Meet or exceed the manufacturer’s minimum, but do not trade away correct size, terminals or chemistry just to chase a larger CCA number.
Can I replace an AGM car battery with a standard flooded battery?
Do not downgrade an AGM-equipped vehicle unless the vehicle manufacturer explicitly approves it. Charging strategy and start-stop duty may require AGM.
Does a larger e-bike battery always give more range?
More watt-hours generally means more stored energy, but real range depends on terrain, speed, assist level, rider load, temperature and battery condition. Compatibility must come first.
Can I use a different charger for an e-bike or scooter?
Only if the battery or vehicle manufacturer confirms it is compatible. Connector fit alone does not prove the voltage, charge profile or safety controls match.
What should I do with a swollen or hot battery?
Stop using and charging it. Keep people away, avoid handling a smoking or actively overheating pack, and contact emergency services if there is smoke or fire. Ask the manufacturer or local hazardous-waste program about safe disposal.
