Small case, exact fit

Powersport batteries pack starting current into tight spaces. Case code, polarity, terminal style and chemistry must all match.

Motorcycle & ATV battery buying guide

Conventional flooded batteries are economical but may require filling, venting and maintenance. Factory-activated AGM batteries are sealed and vibration-resistant. Lithium powersport batteries are very light, but need compatible charging and careful cold-weather use.

  • Match the complete model code, physical dimensions, terminal orientation and starting requirement—not voltage alone.
  • Use a low-current smart maintainer during off-season storage. Choose a lithium-specific mode only when the battery maker approves it.
  • Disconnect parasitic accessories where the owner’s manual allows, and inspect for swelling, leaks or damaged cables before spring start-up.
ConventionalLower purchase cost, with venting and maintenance needs.
AGMSealed construction and strong vibration resistance for many bikes.
LithiumLow weight, but charging and cold-start behaviour differ.
Off-seasonCorrect maintainer mode and periodic inspection protect the battery.
